Abigail & Sarah Beth

A few weeks ago, I spent the morning with my friends Jonathan & Diana and their adorable girls, Abigail and Sarah Beth.  We went to the park for some family photos and had a fun time on the playground, running in the field, and chasing frogs & butterflies!  Here are a few of my favorites from our morning…

Jonathan & Diana, I’m so glad we were finally able to do this!  Your girls are so sweet!  And it’s so fun watching them growing up and getting their little personalities.  I love you guys and can’t wait to see what amazing people these little girls grow up to be!

Mary & Gerard’s Engagement Session – Brookline, MA

Springtime and summer in New England can be a bit, um, rainy – as you saw in the last post.  This can make scheduling engagement sessions a little tricky.  Mary & Gerard were having the worst luck finding a time for their shoot and we ended up doing it just this past week.  There are a bunch of shoots waiting in the queue, but I bumped this one up since they’re getting married one week from today!  I like to make sure clients see their engagement images before the wedding so I can get feedback from them on what they like & what they don’t particularly love.  Plus, if they love them (which clearly I hope they do!), they feel that much more comfortable on the wedding day!  So, in light of that, here are a few of my favorites from Maria & Gerard’s session at Larz Anderson Park!

The sunlight was just perfect that evening!

It’s a beautiful park, and we only walked around a small part of it!  I can’t wait to explore some more :)

You wouldn’t know that Gerard hates having his picture taken ;)

I was loving the checkered floor, and the columns, and the light coming in!

And then I looked up, and had to shoot the ceiling too!  How cute are these two, by the way?!

Mary & Gerard – thanks for a fun evening!  It was great to see you, and to meet Gerard at last.  I’m super excited for your wedding – 7 more days!!  Have a GREAT week with your families and I’ll see you sooooon!  :D

Lori & Mark’s Engagement Session – Taunton, MA

I was so excited to head down to Taunton a few weeks ago to meet Lori & Mark at last, and to get to know them through our photo shoot!  As I made the drive down, the clouds got darker and bigger, and the rain began to fall.  By the time I got to their place, there was little hope of shooting outside.  We made the best of it though, and had a fun evening grilling out, playing with their adorable and humongous dog, and just hanging out at the house!  I love it when engagement sessions can capture a day in the life of a couple – a real day – and that’s exactly what we got!

We went out in the yard for a bit, but even the dog didn’t want to stand in the rain!

Just like at my house, real life often involves just hanging out on the couch ;)

Lori & Mark – it was so great to meet you both!!  Sorry I couldn’t get the sun to cooperate with us, but I had a blast hanging out with you, and those burgers really were awesome!  I can’t wait for your wedding – I just know the sun will be shining! ;)

Baby Delia’s 6-Month Portraits

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you might remember baby Delia.  We’ve been doing a Year-In-The-Life with Delia and it was time for her 6 month portraits!  Turns out little Delia wasn’t feeling too well that day :(  I’m not kidding, almost every time she looked at me, she started to cry!  Normally kids love me, I promise!  Well, we tried to make it work for a while, and were still able to get some cute shots in between bouts of tears.  But eventually we had to just leave the poor kid alone!  So, I think you’ll be seeing some more of little Delia here in the next month or so as we try again :)

Back from Vacation!

Well, I have finally returned from my road trip to the Midwest!  It was a very fun vacation, with a little work thrown in to the mix!  Here’s a quick recap…

Drove with my sister & her 3 kids (ages 3-7) from Boston to Niagara Falls.

Came down with bronchitis.

Visited my old synchronized swimming coach who was coaching at Nationals nearby.  The only other times I’ve been to Niagara Falls is when I’ve been to synchro meets!  (yes, I was a synchronized swimmer & coach for 15 years!)

Visited Niagara Falls and went on the Maid of the Mist for the first time!  Very cool – and very wet!!
