Sarah + Rob — Minuteman National Park Engagement – xo, CoCo

Sarah, Rob and I got together on a gorgeous evening at one of my favorite parks, Minuteman National Park, in Concord. The light was beautiful and these two can not get any cuter. They met while working at the same school and I caught up with them in the middle of their well-deserved Summer break, I was super jealous of Sarah’s summer glow! I hope you enjoy my favorites!

They were good sports and sat in the grass for me, how could I resist?!

Laura + Dayna — Beacon Hill Engagement – xo, CoCo

Laura and Dayna and I met up on a wonderful and warm afternoon in the early Summer, I knew these two would be amazing from the start. First of all they have the best story, as told to me by Laura, they used to pass each other on the sidewalk nearly everyday on the way to work, always noticing each other but never speaking of course, though for dramatic effect I imagine at least making some sideways glances :). Some time down the line they both ended up at the Liberty Hotel one evening for drinks, separately, but Laura finally got up the nerve to introduce herself and the rest is history! Naturally, we started out their session at the very place where their relationship started, not to mention one of my favorites hotels in Boston, then strolled past their apartment and through their beautiful Beacon Hill neighborhood. I hope you enjoy my favorites!

The light was beautiful inside Alibi and the place was empty!

In my opinion, every engagement session should start with cocktails!

Kaitlin + Brent — North End Engagement – xo, CoCo

Ok, get ready for an adorable overload. I met up with Kaitlin and Brent at during one of Kaitlin’s very last weeks in Boston, and therefore very last weeks in her adorable North End apartment. We clicked immediately, had a quick drink together and basically did not stop laughing for the next hour. These guys are just so much fun! But don’t let me tell you, I’ll let you find out for yourself…

Of course we HAD to check out the roof deck!

We went on a little tour of their neighborhood and found this little secret garden in someone’s backyard, shhhh don’t tell…

Brent, you are the perfect amount of goofball.

There were some lovely blooming trees in a park next door.

We then made our way down this fabulous alley…

…on the way to their favorite spot in the North End, Monica’s!

They then treated me to one of the BEST sandwiches I have ever had, how sweet are they? Seriously, if you haven’t been to Monica’s, don’t, I don’t want anyone to know about it… :) Thank you Kaitlin and Brent for being so fun, generous, loving and oh I don’t know AMAZING?! I can’t wait for September!

Irene + Joey — Sudbury Engagement – xo, CoCo

I got together with Irene and Joey on a recent and fabulous Spring day, warmth was just beginning to break through in Boston, and the light was amazing at the Grist Mill at Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA. Joey and Irene brought along their adorable puppy, yes that’s right he’s a puppy, Grimm who just added to the cuteness factor. It was so fun to witness how cute they are together, I can’t wait for their wedding in July!

A definite favorite.

Katie + Keith — Providence, RI Winter Engagement – xo, CoCo

Katie an Keith came to us through a very dear friend but we quickly discovered that we had another connection, they both went to my alma mater, RIT! It was great to reminisce a bit about our favorite Brick City while we walked around downtown Providence for their engagement session. It was freezing outside so we found some fabulous indoor spaces to shoot at The Arcade and the gorgeous interior of The Dorrance around the corner. Take a look at a few of my favorites!

I’m so happy the generous staff at The Dorrance let us come in for a few portraits! This place was gorgeous!

We braved the cold for a minute or two, it was freezing!

Molly + Eli — Summer Engagement Session in Brookline

So, you may have noticed that most of the blog posts lately have been from CoCo… Man, she makes me look like a slacker! ;) Seriously, I’ve been sick almost all winter and haven’t made much time for blogging the last few months. I think it’s high time I get back to it!! What better way to start than with these love birds?!

I met up with Molly & Eli at their home in Brookline on a warm summer evening. We took a walk through their neighborhood to a local park and enjoyed a little time hanging out, climbing trees, and definitely laughing! Check out my favorites from our engagement shoot!

Lephan + Scotty — Providence, RI Engagement – xo, CoCo

I don’t think it’s possible to love a couple more than I love these two! Is that weird to say? I don’t care, I’m sticking with it! From the moment I spoke on the phone to Lephan, I knew we would be a perfect fit. MANY silly emails ensued in regards to her wedding, engagement session, and who KNOWS what else, and the rest is history. I met up with her and her handsome and adorable fiance Scotty in Providence while they were in town visiting for Christmas. Amazingly, we got some gorgeous light and weather, and had so.much.fun. We started out walking around DePasquale Square in Providence’s Federal Hill area, enjoy.

Aaaaand the laughing starts… I just LOVE her smile!

So dapper, no?!

Then, there was this amazing yellow wall in a weird alley, we took a chance and I LOVE it!

Then a quick jaunt over to College Hill, the streets are so beautiful!

I was taking the train home and about to miss it but just couldn’t resist this light!

Lephan you are just gorgeous!

Even if I did miss my train it would have been worth it! Lephan and Scotty I am so excited to see you again in November! Thank you for being so open and honest in front of the camera, however awkward you may think you are! ;) It was such a pleasure, you are the best! Christina + Preston — Boston Back Bay Engagement – xo, CoCo

I don’t know how it happened but we got the most perfect weather and light exactly when we needed it during Christina and Preston’s Engagement session. Not only did they meet for the first time at Back Bay Station, they actually got engaged there as well! This was obviously a special place for them and provided a really fun backdrop for me. We ran around the city, found some wonderful color and light, and I tried not to die of jealousy talking about Chicago with them, one of my favorite cities ever, and where they just happen to live! Enjoy!

Kate + Peter — Jamaica Pond Engagement Session – xo, CoCo

I met with Kate and Peter for the first time at one of my favorite coffee shops, Simon’s, in Cambridge. Not only were they excited for our meeting, which is always great, little did I know Peter had actually just proposed to Kate hours earlier! Now, these two had obviously been planning their wedding for months, and Kate knew they were going to get engaged very soon, but it was still so fun to see how excited they were and to see them basking in that just engaged glow. And I love that even though both Kate and Peter knew this was going down, Peter still pulled out all the stops and even got a small orchestra to play for Kate! So romantic! We got together for their engagement session not soon after at Jamaica Pond, and caught the very end of the beauty that is the Fall in New England. It was fabulous, though we couldn’t have pulled it off any later, it definitely got pretty chilly towards the end of the night!

Kate’s leopard booties are to die for, am I right?!

This is the spot that I believe was their very first date, years ago in feet of snow! I saw pictures, it was adorable…

Sarah + Mike — Corn Maze Engagement Session – xo, CoCo

Back in college, one of Sarah and Mike’s first meetings was at a corn maze, or a Maize Maze as we called them in Virginia, with a group of friends. It just sounds so perfect doesn’t it? Getting lost, making eyes at each other through the stalks, definitely sounds like a classic college love story to me :) So when Mike suggested and researched the heck out of Corn Mazes on the North Shore I thought it sounded like super fun idea. We ended up at Marini Farm in Ipswich, which was absolutely perfect. We more or less had the place to ourselves, it was late Fall and the light was INSANE. This definitely ended up being one of my favorites shoots of the year. These two are quiet, thoughtful, sweet and most of all FUN. Enjoy!

I could NOT resist the bouncing pillow outside the maze, all the little kids were bouncing around Mike trying to get a good bounce out of him, it was so fun!

I *think* these guys had fun too. :)
