Spring Mini Sessions 2016 – Lake Quannapowitt

Once or twice a year, I offer Portrait Mini Sessions for those families who want updated portraits, but perhaps don’t have the time or the budget for a full session. I keep them limited to clients and friends I’ve worked with before, who have a good understanding of my style. It makes these quick 15 minute sessions go so much smoother when we already have a relationship! This year, we wanted some pretty Spring colors, so we ended up shooting in the old cemetery at Lake Quannapowitt, in Wakefield MA. It was BEAUTIFUL!

It’s that time of year again… we’ve (hopefully) had the last snow, the flowers and leaves are budding, the sun is actually shining, and Bostonians are starting to come out of hibernation! At Krista Photography, we’re in the calm before the storm that is wedding season. That means we have a little extra time to design wedding albums and photograph lots of families before the craziness begins again in June. To celebrate, we’ve decided to have a little Spring Sale… just in time for tax returns to roll in ;)

Baby Lane — One Year Portrait Session

Ok, I promised more tulle and I never make promises I can’t keep! Lane recently turned one and Krista was invited to the party. This little girly girl was perfect for the shimmery gold background Krista has!! Add to that the pink, the ruffles, the PEARLS!! Just take a look for yourself…

I LOVE that Lori thought to write out Lane’s current faves like this! Such a great way to remember all the little things that are so easily forgotten as the years go by.

Now bear with me… there were SO many awesome cake smash pictures, and I did try my best to keep it simple here, but I just couldn’t help myself and I think you will agree that more is better in this case!

But she got over it pretty quick!

I love how Mark has evidence of icing all over his shirt!

I love how similar this shot is to the family picture Krista took when Lane was a newborn. Look at that BIG girl though!

Baby Lane – Newborn Baby Portrait Session

Full disclosure: I LOVE babies. Their teeny tiny features get me every time! Krista loves them too – especially when she gets to photograph the babies of our lovely brides! What’s more fun than that?!

That said, Little Miss Lane, or Buggy as Lori calls her, is truly an adorable little button of a girl. Her mama made sure she was ready for her first photo shoot–flower in her hair, tutu of tulle around her bitty belly!

Baby Jude – Newborn Portraits

My dear friends Lindsey & David recently had their first child – two days before my birthday in fact! I was super sad that I was out of town when little Jude was born, but I stopped by the hospital as soon as I got back into town and celebrated my birthday by holding this little cutie and capturing some newborn portraits of him. Here are a few of my favorites…
