Bethany + Joe — Boston Harbor Hotel Wedding

If Bethany & Joe are sneaking up on you, it’s because Krista didn’t actually get to shoot an engagement session for them. Both of them are in the military and were living out of state at the time, and we just were never in the same state at the same time until the day before the wedding! Engagement sessions are normally SO important to helping us make great pictures of you on wedding day. But thankfully Bethany & Joe are so adorable that we just COULDN’T take a bad picture of them if we tried :)

Krista and Cristen started out at the church with Bethany as she got ready before the ceremony. Love Bethany’s greens shoes.

I hung out with Joe at the church. Their boutonnieres were cotton blossoms, a nod to Bethany’s Georgia roots.

Joe sent Bethany the sweetest present, a book of poems!

Her veil took my breath away. it was even more beautiful in person!

Cristen and I ran to the reception at the Boston Harbor Hotel to grab some details, these place cards were so beautiful.

The calligraphy was so delicate and pretty!

Bethany ran and changed into another super fun dress, here’s my view of their first dance.

I also sat by the groom during Bethany’s dad’s toast… haha!

Thank you Bethany and Joe! We all had the most wonderful time documenting your day! It was so wonderful to see how surrounded by love and support you are. Seriously. SO MUCH.

Suze + Jeremy – Steele Hill Resort Wedding

Seeing as how Krista is very good friends with this lovely bride, I’m just going to quote her for a second…

“It’s an awesome thing to get to photograph your friends :) I’ve known Suze for almost 6 years now, exactly as long as I’ve lived in Massachusetts. She was one of my first friends here. We’ve been in bible studies together, sang together on the worship team at church, prayed together, talked a lot about relationships and love, and she’s even assisted me at a couple of weddings! It’s been so cool to watch over the last year since she started dating Jeremy – to see them challenge & encourage one another, and now to celebrate with them as they begin the rest of their life together. And I was doubly blessed to get to photograph their wedding day!”

That was obviously written right after their wedding because now (almost) a year later Suze and Jeremy are expecting their first child and we could not be more excited for them!

Now for wedding day, Krista and I started out with Suze as she got ready in her suite at the Steele Hill Resort. The bride and groom were desperately hoping for a beautiful snowy New England day. The scenery was GORGEOUS, but not snowy… So like their engagement session we just had to make the most of it, and boy did we!! We ended up with about two hours to run around town and take pictures of these cuties before the ceremony, which was super fun! The results of which you’ll see in a minute :)

Allana started with Jeremy as he got dressed up in his swank suit.

After all the makeup and hair Suze sat with her family and pastor (Krista’s brother-in-law) to pray before the ceremony.

First up, this beautiful tree with a great view of lake Winnisquam, where the kind people at The Lake House at Ferry Point let us use their outlook, and their backyard :)

WHEW! That was fun. Ok now onto the ceremony, I can’t believe there’s more wedding!

Yes, that is Krista’s nephew, to the right of Suze’s dad, dabbing fake tears off his face with a tissue… so funny!

I found this cutie not paying much attention to the wedding… :)

Well, at least they got SOME snow…

I grabbed this of Suze parents during their family formals… so dang cute!

This is Allana’s of Suze and her dad. I’m such a daddy’s girl, I ALWAYS cry when the bride dances with her dad…

So Allana, the genius that she is, set up a little portrait sesh on the front porch as the sun was setting, here’s Allana’s shot of Anna Kathryn and Joel, our test subjects :)

Suze + Jeremy – Rockport Engagement Session

Krista met up with her good friends Suze and Jeremy in Rockport at the end of seriously rainy day, hence the awesome clouds :) They had to kind of run around and make the most of the sliver of sun they got after the rain stopped. But these two are so dang cute it didn’t seem to make any difference!! They eventually ducked inside a restaurant and got some of the best shots of the day once the sun had set. Done and done! [Plus we got to eat some AWESOME BBQ… which doesn’t happen often in New England!! :) Krista]

West Hartford Winter Wedding

We loved so much about this wedding… As you saw from their engagement session, these two are so adorable together. Their love for each other is palpable, and just plain old precious. When it came to their wedding, the weather was gorgeous, the day planned perfectly, and EVERY one of their guests seemed so insanely happy for them, and simply honored to be there. But MOST of all, we loved watching these two with their parents. the groom’s father had been very sick leading up to the wedding and they weren’t sure he’d be able to attend. That fact seemed to make every moment they had with their parents that much more precious. It was amazing, and all of us were touched by it.

Krista and I started out with the lovely bride to be as she arrived at Beth El Temple. She’s just glowing!

She finished getting ready with her mom and the rest of her bridesmaids.

Love the attention to detail :) Wasn’t her flower headpiece lovely?

Meanwhile, the fabulous Paul McNerny started with the Groom and his Tisch.

There was so much joy in the room!

This shot of the Groom’s dad (left) from Paul is so beautiful. I think I cry every time I see it.

The Beddekken is our FAVORITE part of the Orthodox Jewish wedding!! It’s just so emotional and beautiful!!

They were so happy!

A chorus of people danced around the happy couple on their way to the Yihud.

And after the excitement subsided we stepped into the chilly courtyard for some portraits!

Westchester Engagement Session

Krista met up with this adorable couple at a lovely little apple orchard and pumpkin patch near Westchester, NY. These two were so sweet with each other, not to mention complete goofballs. They were so comfortable and natural in front of the camera and obviously just loved being together, camera or no. Makes our job pretty easy :)

Let’s start with a shot of this gorgeous rose gold ring. This lady was SO ahead of the trend! :)

Ziva + Jonah — Spring Valley Country Club Wedding

Ziva and Jonah were married on a strangely warm November day, just as they had predicted. And just as WE predicted their day was filled with some wonderful emotional moments. Ziva and Jonah were both surrounded by a ton of friends and family who all seemed so incredibly honored to be a part of their special day. It was wonderful to witness, from the traditional and emotional bedekken and tisch ceremonies to the CRAZY dance party, it was such an amazing day! It was exactly their style: simple, heartfelt, classic, and emotional. Love them!

Krista and I started out with Ziva at her parents beautiful old house in Brookline.

I grabbed this downstairs while the girls were busy…

Ziva + Jonah — Brookline Engagement Session

Krista calls her engagement sessions “Day-in-the-life” engagement sessions for a reason, she wants to express what your real life is like! Where you live, where you got engaged, things you do, how you act around each other, or the stupid stuff you laugh about… all the things that make your relationship REAL.

Well Ziva & Jonah’s engagement session was just that, a snapshot of their lives. Krista and these two adorable people started at Ziva’s parents’ house, they went for a walk around the nearby reservoir, had a quick outfit change, then stopped by Jonah’s parents’ house, and checked out the pond down the street. SO simple. SO perfect. All you really need are two people in love and BOOM. Real. Pictures.

Christine + Randy — The Barn at Gibbet Hill Wedding

Christine & Randy were married at a beautiful and quaint Acton Congregational Church, and later celebrated surrounded by so much family and loving friends at The Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA. It was the PERFECT Fall day, not too cold, fluffy white clouds in the sky, and those leaves! You’ll see that her details were so perfectly Fall as well, dark reds, oranges, and blues everywhere, and the cutest granny smith apple place cards!

Krista and I started with the girls while they got ready at Gibbet Hill, I ran around outside for some sunny details to set the scene.

I grabbed this while Christine was getting ready, there were some seriously cute little girls running around!

They had a really fun and swanky car to drive to the church in!

Our lovely friend Anne Ruthmann started with Randy and the boys at the church.

Christine’s brother and his son…. SO CUTE.

The girls arrived and hung out “backstage…”

These girls took their job very seriously.

I caught Randy’s expression as the doors opened… priceless.

We had just the tiniest bit of sunlight to shoot some portraits back at the Barn, love how the red looks with Christine’s flowers!

The Barn is always sooooo beautiful and warm.

Christine’s parents, brother and sister-in-law gave the MOST beautiful and heartfelt speeches. I was totally crying!!

Uummmmm, that’s a really big piece of cake!

And then came the best dancing ever! Walk like an egyptian!

Woohoo! What a wonderful time we had with you guys! Thank you both and your wonderful families for letting us be a part of it!

Christine + Randy — Winchester Backyard Engagement Session

Krista got together with Christine and Randy at Christine’s brother’s beautiful home in Winchester, MA. He has a great backyard were they hung out with their adorable dog, chilled with some sparkling wine and relaxed in their hammock, what more can you ask for!?

Melissa + Tyler — Methuen Memorial Music Hall Wedding

Melissa & Tyler’s wedding was held at the gorgeous Methuen Memorial Music Hall, followed by a reception at the Castleton Banquet Center. Melissa and her Mom Adrienne worked so hard to make everything look fabulous and put a lot of time and energy into all the details. With a ton of sweet little kids, she had SEVEN flower girls, and so so so many supportive friends there to celebrate, the room was filled with so much love, we were honored to be a part of it!

Krista and I were hanging out with the ladies as they got ready, when a beautiful package from Tyler arrived…. ok crying now…
