Fall Mini-Portrait Session Fundraiser

Back in the fall, Krista was anxiously preparing for her journey to Nepal to work on a documentary film with Code Red Films and eager to get some portraits done before her trip. She decided to hold a fundraising mini-portrait marathon one October weekend to assist in the costs associated with her (not-for-profit) trip. After scouting beautiful trees and parks for weeks we finally decided to stage the event next door! With a little help from Russell Farms (who so graciously lent us hay stacks and pumpkins for the day), and Krista’s awesome neighbors, it could not have looked better!

There are SO many sweet families, I will *try* and let the pictures do most of the talking. :)

These two families are full of besties. So much love!

Krista has some seriously gorgeous family, doesn’t she??

I love how this little crew of friends just fits together!

This little football player (oh how his dad would DIE – in a good way! – if that were to come true someday!) is a friend of mine. :) His mama and I met almost five years ago when we were both struggling with brand new little babes!

Such joy!

This little man is Dylan. Based on his genes, it is very likely that he will be a marathon runner by the time he is out of high school! Both of his parents can RUN.

This portrait thing is a serious business!

This is Serena and Mark and their adorable daughter Rayna. Krista second shot their wedding way back in 2008! Aren’t they gorgeous?!

There were SO many great moments between these sisters to chose from, but this series of them hugging is by far my favorite!

And we can’t leave out their darling baby brother!

A family of tree-huggers. :) This particular tree was SUCH a vivid yellow.

Katie + Mark — Cape Cod Engagement Session

Krista met Katie & Mark down on the Cape for their lovely late evening engagement session. Mark picked the girls up in his boat, hold on to your camera straps folks!

I LOVE Katie’s bright nails! You’ll see those again on wedding day. My kind of girl :)

Baby Bobby – Six Month Session

Suzanne’s sister bought this session as a baby shower gift before Bobby was even born. Can you think of a better gift than that?! (Me, neither) :)

Krista’s yard is full of colorful trees throughout autumn, making it a perfect location for portraits during the fall. I dare you not to smile as you check out Baby Bobby’s six month shoot. Double dare you.

Baby Bobby – Newborn Session

I’m back! And with another ridiculously adorable baby to share (this little guy has the MOST incredible head of hair I’ve ever seen on such a little guy)! Baby Bobby’s mama is one of Krista’s dear friends. Krista was thrilled when Suzanne and Michiel announced that they were expecting a baby last year. It was a long hard pregnancy, but Baby Bobby arrived healthy and handsome as could be! Take a look for yourself.

Suzanne and Michiel (who is from Holland!) met while working for Mercy Ships. During her time in Africa, Suzanne bought fabric that she used to make this beautiful quilt for Bobby. So not only is this blanket gorgeous, it is also incredibly meaningful. How cool is that??

Rose + George — Harvard Engagement Session

Krista met Rose a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid at Jessica & Albert’s wedding in 2008. Imagine our excitement when she contacted Krista to shoot her wedding too! So fun!!!

Krista shot Rose & George’s engagement session down at Harvard University. Harvard is such a wonderful place to shoot! There is so much variety, obviously tons of beautiful buildings, and lots of really cool and different architectural elements everywhere! All you need is super cute couple to sweeten the deal! I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves :)

Baby Lane — One Year Portrait Session

Ok, I promised more tulle and I never make promises I can’t keep! Lane recently turned one and Krista was invited to the party. This little girly girl was perfect for the shimmery gold background Krista has!! Add to that the pink, the ruffles, the PEARLS!! Just take a look for yourself…

I LOVE that Lori thought to write out Lane’s current faves like this! Such a great way to remember all the little things that are so easily forgotten as the years go by.

Now bear with me… there were SO many awesome cake smash pictures, and I did try my best to keep it simple here, but I just couldn’t help myself and I think you will agree that more is better in this case!

But she got over it pretty quick!

Baby Lane – Newborn Baby Portrait Session

Full disclosure: I LOVE babies. Their teeny tiny features get me every time! Krista loves them too – especially when she gets to photograph the babies of our lovely brides! What’s more fun than that?!

That said, Little Miss Lane, or Buggy as Lori calls her, is truly an adorable little button of a girl. Her mama made sure she was ready for her first photo shoot–flower in her hair, tutu of tulle around her bitty belly!

Leli + Tom — Downtown Boston Engagement

Krista met up with Leli & Tom for their Engagement Session down at the Boston Public Gardens, where they got engaged, awwwwwwww. They are the sweetest couple, very caring and loving with each other, and they couldn’t have picked a better day to romp around the city with Krista!

They started out on Commonwealth ave just outside the gardens… Isn’t Leli’s purple dress the cutest?

SO SWEET.

Make ’em snuggle and they’ll start to giggle, works every time! Love this series!

Then they headed over the footbridge to the river.

SUCH a gorgeous day! I can’t wait to have these evenings again!

Then a quick jaunt over to J.P.Licks for a handsome reward!

N + J — Wellesley and Gloucester Engagement Session

OK everyone, back to our regularly scheduled programming of better-late-than-never blog posts. Let’s check in on these two cuties, who actually were married in Singapore but had a special reception at the State Room for their Boston contingent. Sounds fun right?! Let’s start with their Summery engagement session first…

Krista met up with the couple at Wellesley College where they got engaged. Their campus is so beautiful, it was a great place to shoot. They toured around campus a while and then drove out to Gloucester as a surprise for J, who loves lighthouses, he loved it!.

Look at these two!! So cute!

Love the dramatic light in the Houghton Chapel!

They’re just gorgeous!!

Then for a quick costume change and onto Eastern Point Lighthouse in Gloucester, just in time for the sunset!

Kate + Reid – Surprise San Diego Wedding – The Day After

Here’s just a quick little look into Kate and Reid’s Day After portrait session! This was mostly manned by Allana Taranto as Krista hurt her leg just as the Bride and Groom took off on their bikes :( Alas, they still look pretty cute…
