Oh, man! I don’t even know where to start with these guys! I met Erin & Doug last year when I photographed her brother, Kevin’s wedding – so I was absolutely thrilled when they chose me to photograph their wedding! It’s always such an honor to work with the same family again and again and to keep getting to know them as their family grows over time. Plus, I was doubly excited to be shooting a wedding at the Wang Theater – which is an insanely gorgeous venue. The whole day was beautiful – filled with love, and so so fun! Here are a handful of my favorites from the day!!!
Christina + Thomas — Boston Engagement Session
I had such a fun time walking around Boston with Christina & Thomas a few weeks ago! Oh yeah, we took some cute photos along the way, in between & including a few bouts of silliness & laughter ;) This image from Acorn Street on Beacon Hill is totally my favorite! So sweet!
Rebecca + Kevin – A Harvard Art Museums Wedding
I met Rebecca over six years ago, when she was a bridesmaid in her sister, Elizabeth’s wedding. I liked her right away because she was the youngest (just like me) and she seemed to be the most sentimental and definitely the most likely to cry of the three sisters (just like me). I saw her a few times over the years as I continued to photograph their family out in Michigan, and here in Boston. So, when I got her email telling me she’d gotten engaged, I was so thrilled she wanted me to shoot the wedding, but I was also really excited to see the family again, and to witness Rebecca marry the man she loves!! There really is something special about working with the same family again and again over the years! Take a look at my favorites from their beautiful wedding day…
Laura + Dayna — Beacon Hill Engagement – xo, CoCo
Laura and Dayna and I met up on a wonderful and warm afternoon in the early Summer, I knew these two would be amazing from the start. First of all they have the best story, as told to me by Laura, they used to pass each other on the sidewalk nearly everyday on the way to work, always noticing each other but never speaking of course, though for dramatic effect I imagine at least making some sideways glances :). Some time down the line they both ended up at the Liberty Hotel one evening for drinks, separately, but Laura finally got up the nerve to introduce herself and the rest is history! Naturally, we started out their session at the very place where their relationship started, not to mention one of my favorites hotels in Boston, then strolled past their apartment and through their beautiful Beacon Hill neighborhood. I hope you enjoy my favorites!
The light was beautiful inside Alibi and the place was empty!
In my opinion, every engagement session should start with cocktails!
Killing me with cute, Laura!
Of course we had to use the prison bars!
Love those socks Dayna!
These two are just the right amount of goofy for me :).
Quick costume change and a ride on the escalator before we head out!
Beacon Hill was quiet and the light was gorgeous!
Haha!
Aaaaaand just a little more goof to top it off.
I can’t get enough of these two, Laura and Dayna thank you for such a fabulous evening! Even more on Facebook if you dare!
Laurie + Hakan — Beacon Hill Engagement
Get ready y’all for the last THREE better-late-than-never couples! First up, Hakan and Laurie! They met up with Krista in Beacon Hill one lovely late Summer evening. These two are such a beautiful couple, I love their style, their cuddles, and especially their willingness to listen to Krista when she said, “Trust me, just go stand under that bridge!” – when they had NO idea what she was going for. Ok, let’s see what these two got up to on their engagement session.
See what I mean, it looks awesome!
Oh, just stop it you two! These guys are the best, and we’ve got their wedding, details AND album to drool over coming up! Woohoo! Mosey on over to facebook for more in the mean time :) See you Friday!
Lieschen & Stephen’s Wedding – Black & White FILM
I shot a few rolls of Black & White Film at Lieschen & Stephen‘s wintry wedding in Beacon Hill. Here are a few of my favorites!
shot with Tri-X 400/120 with my Holga
beautiful suite, with a fabulous view! Shot with Tri-X 400/35mm with my Widelux Panoramic
Getting Ready
Love this one in the courtyard!
Can you spot Lieschen & Stephen in this one?
Ah! Adorable! Shot on Tri-X 400/35mm with my Nikon F100 and 50mm f/1.4 lens
Sweet toast
I love black & white film!! If you love black & white film too, I offer wedding coverage with me shooting in all film and second shooters shooting digital. Let me know if you’re interested! :)
Lieschen & Stephen’s Winter Wedding – Beacon Hill
I’ve known Lieschen for a few years now. She is both friend and chiropractor – invaluable on so many levels! I was excited for her last year when she met Stephen and fell in love – and was doubly excited when she called recently to ask me to shoot their wedding just a few weeks later!
The day started at the Liberty Hotel down in Boston. This painting made such a cool backdrop for her dress!
Lieschen & her Mom
yeah, she’s pretty gorgeous
Lieschen’s little nieces were there while she was getting ready – total entertainment for everyone!
FAVORITE!
After she was ready, Stephen came to the suite for the First Look
Everyone had a toast to celebrate
the handsome groom
Then it was down to the courtyard for some portraits. We lucked out and had a really lovely day to go outside! Though, snuggling did make it even warmer :)
Lieschen & Stephen
The wedding was shortly after the holidays, and The Liberty Hotel still had Christmas trees hanging from the ceiling. It was the coolest way I’d ever seen a hotel decorate for the holidays!
Then we headed down Charles Street to The Hungry I for their intimate ceremony & reception
Surrounded by their immediate families, the got married in front of the fire place in a candle-lit ceremony
It was perhaps both the darkest and the smallest ceremony I’ve ever photographed! It was lovely though!!
After the ceremony, everyone headed upstairs for a nice dinner, some toasts, and lots of laughter!
One of the nieces was a little bored at that point, and kept wanting me to play with her… so, you know, I HAD to ;)
The other niece seemed to be having a good time ;)
mmmm, meringue cake!
rings in roses
Love this shot of Lieschen & Stephen chatting with his uncle!
And just for fun, I had to get one with the bride!
Lieschen & Stephen – thanks again for allowing me to be part of your wedding! I’m excited for you, and for all the lies ahead! ;)

Angie & Matt’s eSession – Boston, MA
Angie & Matt were in town a couple weeks ago for a weekend of wedding planning excitement, so we met up downtown for their engagement session. We had no idea if it was going to pour down rain or not, but we took a chance and it ended up being a great (and HOT) afternoon!
We started off at the Boston Harbor Hotel under the archway…
They’re pretty cute
A gnarly iron bridge seems like a perfect place for photos, if you ask me!
We hopped a cab over to Beacon Hill for a little more of a classic Boston feel
And then it started to rain, so we ducked into a little cafe. A crowded cafe with no air conditioning, I might add.
Then the rain stopped… it IS Boston after all. So we walked towards the river and found all sorts of great spots along the way!
This might be my favorite…
Turns out these two met at a sailing class here on the Charles River! We had to go revisit the scene :)
Angie & Matt – it was so great to finally meet you two! Thanks for a fun afternoon and for putting up with all the heat and rain to get some great photos. The wedding is going to be a blast, I’m totally looking forward to it! :)
