I met Rebecca over six years ago, when she was a bridesmaid in her sister, Elizabeth’s wedding. I liked her right away because she was the youngest (just like me) and she seemed to be the most sentimental and definitely the most likely to cry of the three sisters (just like me). I saw her a few times over the years as I continued to photograph their family out in Michigan, and here in Boston. So, when I got her email telling me she’d gotten engaged, I was so thrilled she wanted me to shoot the wedding, but I was also really excited to see the family again, and to witness Rebecca marry the man she loves!! There really is something special about working with the same family again and again over the years! Take a look at my favorites from their beautiful wedding day…
Becky + Mike — Harvard Square Engagement – xo, CoCo
Becky, Mike and I got a miraculously warm November day to wander around Harvard Square together. They had never spent much time there, but the light was beautiful and we had a great time discovering some characteristic little nooks and crannies for them to cuddle in. :) These two were so comfortable with each other, I felt like I barely had to work at all! In fact, it always amazes me, no matter how beautiful you think a person is on their own, something happens to them when they are with the one they love, a light inside makes them glow all over. The same is true for these two, not only are they both beautiful and interesting people in their own right, there is something about their energy together that is absolutely infectious, and infinitely better than their individual parts alone. You know, sometimes things just fall into place.
We started out in Harvard Yard.
We headed over to the river and they just HAD to stop and cuddle. ;)
I mean are these guys adorable or what?
We made our way through the dorms.
And finally out onto the Weeks Footbridge, with this BEAUTIFUL light, I was eating it up!
Nothing can beat that color!
Becky!!!!! You are just gorgeous.
Man, what a night! Becky and Mike, thank you for your beauty, inside and out! It was so much fun spending time with and photographing you, not to mention having a beer or two after! ;) Check out more on Facebook y’all!
Irene + Joey — Sculler’s Jazz Club Wedding – xo, CoCo
Irene and Joey, where do I start?! These two had a lovely and intimate day with their nearest and dearest and many who came all the way from Greece to celebrate with them! It threatened rain all day, but we lucked out every minute that we wanted to be outside, such a dream! I hope you enjoy my favorites! Let’s start with Irene as she got ready at her parent’s house, so traditional, I love it.
You know, workin hard!
These girls we so cute!
Stunning Irene!
This girl, just so. cute.
A little rain never hurt anybody!
Vince Schaefer joined me for the day and started at the church, I love all these little details for their greek ceremony.
Aren’t those flowers gorgeous?!
I love seeing all those happy faces!
Thumbs up!
From the church we headed to Sculler’s Jazz Club in Allston, where we got to use the roof deck, in between rain showers at least! :) Vince grabbed this great wide shot.
Irene had her florist incorporate a tape measure into her bouquet as a way to remember her grandmother who was a seamstress, isn’t that so sweet?
Time to party! This is Vince’s shot from the happy couple’s introduction.
Another one from Vince of the money dance, so fun!
A team of traditional dancers entertained the crowd, they were awesome!
Vince found a good angle.
Vince’s shot of the circle dance.
Haha! Caught ya!
The couple took a little break from dancing for a few more night portraits, love that view!
That’s it y’all! Thank you for looking and thank you Irene and Joey for such a lovely day!

Liz + Dylan — Boston Esplanade Engagement – xo, CoCo
Man, these two make me so happy. They are legit, some of the funniest people I know. I was so excited to get to know them some more, after weeks of hilarious email exchanges. So we met up one gorgeous evening on The Esplanade, took some pictures, hung out in a tree, and saw the biggest yoga class ever. It was glorious!
Dude.
Haha!
Aaaand off with the shoes!
LIZ! You are so beautiful!!
Fave.
Those legs girl!
Beware runners, I will shoot pictures of you! :)
This tree was the best.

Lara grabbed this during their ceremony at Harvard Memorial Church, so stately!
The reception details incorporated Peter’s heritage, I love the pops of red.

Kate + Peter — Harvard Faculty Club Wedding – xo, CoCo
Man, oh man where do I even start with these two?! Kate and Peter were so much fun to photograph on their rainy yet beautiful wedding day at the Harvard Faculty Club. Kate was glowing, and the two of them were full of smiles and high-fives all day. And if you need more proof of how awesome they are check out their New York Times Vows Video, I’m telling you it’s some serious cute overload.
So I started out with Kate in my favorite room at the Faculty Club, LOVE that wallpaper!
Is it zipped?!
Classic!
My fabulous friend Lara started with Peter just down the hall.
She promptly taught him how to put on a boutonnière, nice job Peter.
So sharp!
Time for the First Look, love this from Lara.
Oh that stair case!
Such beautiful spaces at the Faculty Club, here’s my view:

Claire & Matan’s Wedding – Hyatt Regency Cambridge
I basically didn’t blog most of my weddings from last year… but there are some that I just HAVE to share! It may take me a while, but I’m going to try to post a few of last year’s weddings, along with this year’s weddings. We’ll see how it goes! For now, allow me to introduce you to Claire & Matan…
Claire & Matan are just beautiful people. They’re gorgeous, clearly, but they’re also really beautiful people from the inside out, where it really counts. They’re lives are committed to helping people – him by working in foreign policy and her working in humanitarian aid. They’ve travelled the world putting their education and skills to work to make other people’s lives better, and I think that’s pretty awesome! It’s been so lovely working with them and getting to know them over the course of the last two years as they planned their wedding, shot their engagement session and the big day, and now we’ve designed their wedding album. But being at their wedding and hearing their friends and family speak of them, that’s when you really see how wonderful, and how loved they really are. I’m so so glad I have been able to be a part of their celebration and the beginning of their life together!
We shot their engagement session on rainy summer day in Rockport, but they absolutely made it work!
Their wedding at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge was the exact opposite – HOT and SUNNY! But once again, they made it work and everything turned out great!!
Photo below by my fabulous second shooter, Allana Taranto
Quite possibly my favorite First Look ever!

A few sunny portraits along the River
Another great shot by Allana
Allana had the brilliant idea of putting them in this tree, and I LOVE how it turned out!!
A shot from my widelux in black & white film
Then it was back to the Hyatt for the festivities!
My favorite shot of Claire and her father!
Widelux film shot of the ceremony
Their vows were so lovely, even I was crying at this point!
Allana’s view
They literally danced their way out!! Talk about excited :)
Loved this shot of Claire’s friend and her husband :)
Allana’s shots from the first dance, the Hora, and the toasts
LOVE this one Allana!!!!
Dance floor by CoCo
Their dance floor was definitely a BLAST!!
Claire & Matan! Thank you so much for inviting me into this happy day in your lives, and for making all of the months of work leading up to and away from the day such a pleasure!!!

Jane & Jason’s Spring Wedding – Cambridge MA
Jane & Jason‘s wedding was so lovely! It was a chilly Spring day, but the sun was shining and Jane & Jason couldn’t have been happier!
I met up with Jane at the salon where she was getting her hair & make-up done – and my jaw nearly dropped to the floor when they busted out this birdcage veil! LOVE it!!
Then we headed over to Highrock to finish getting ready. I sat in wait at the bottom of the stairs for Jane’s friend to walk by with the dress and loved how it turned out!
Getting ready in the Sunday School room :)
Once Jane & Jason were ready, we cleared out the sanctuary so they could have a private moment for their First Look. Well, you know, a private moment with me, my assistant CoCo, and my second shooter Jules ;) CoCo captured this shot of Jason waiting for his bride
and Jules caught Jane’s reaction to seeing him waiting for her. I love the look on her face!!
Seeing a couple praying together is always one of the most touching moments on a wedding day for me
After the First Look, we took a few portraits in the church. Highrock is so bright and full of sunlight – it worked out perfectly!
Trying to find new ways of entertaining myself when shooting bridal party portraits ;)
Then it was time for the ceremony! People often think that the First Look would ruin the moment of coming down the aisle, but look how excited they are!
Loving CoCo’s view from the balcony!!
Jason & his grandma are so cute!
The BEAUTIFUL bride!!
We took a few photos out by the Charles River on our way to our hotel, but man it was cold & windy! I liked watching Jason trying to keep her warm on the way back to the limo :)
So, we took a few more portraits inside the The Charles Hotel instead!
The Bridal Party
One last shot before the veil was removed…. sigh.
Haha! Jules caught this great moment of Jason & Jane busting into the reception – football style!
I was totally excited for their first dance because they’d warned me that they were going to do the scene from Glee when Quinn & Sam perform Lucky! They even recorded themselves singing and danced to their own song! It was totally adorable – and they are quite wonderful singers as it turns out.
And on the rarest of occasions, he dipped her at the end right in front of me! Half the time it feels like they dip facing the wrong way, but this was just perfect :)
After that, it was a super fun dance party all afternoon!
Jane & Jason – thanks so much for trusting us with your wedding memories! It was so fun to be a part of your day and to see how happy you two are! I hope it just gets better and better as the years go by :)

Loved all the detail in her dress – it was so pretty!

Faith & Ryan’s Wedding – Bedford MA
My friends Faith & Ryan got married this winter, and I was so happy to capture the day! It’s always fun to be behind the scenes with a bride on her wedding day, but when it’s an old friend, it’s even better!
We started the day with Faith while she was getting ready in her suite at the Bedford Doubletree Hotel. Faith looked so beautiful!! I love this shot, the shape of her arms, and the light through her veil. so pretty!
The First Look – one of my favorite parts of the day!
It’s always a great opportunity to get some portraits taken before everything gets crazy
Then we headed to the Vineyard Cambridge to get ready for the ceremony!
Faith & her Dad
Always love a ceremony that involves some laughter!
SO excited!!
Loved this shot my assistant CoCo captured!
then it was back to the Doubletree for the reception! I loved the look on Faith’s face during their first dance :)
a great toast is always a good thing!
And so is a LOT of dancing!
Faith & Ryan – thank you again for inviting me to capture your wedding!! I love you guys and am so very happy for you both! xoxo
