When I think of Michael and Kyle’s Cape Cod wedding details, I think sand and sea. And not even because of their adorable lobster monogram created just for their day, but because of the stunningly cohesive event design (by Kyle herself and her amazing team of vendors) that helped evoke an incredibly lavish and intimate feeling from start to finish. From the stormy dark blue of the bridesmaid’s dresses to the creams and nudes of Kyle’s, the golds and greens in the tent to the swaying dune grass outside it, the wild and oversized flower arrangements to the strikingly simple food plating, this day was one for the books.
Michael + Kyle — Cape Cod Wedding – xo, CoCo
This day was AMAZING. Mike and Kyle planned their Cape Cod wedding to the T and aside from some rain, it went off without a hitch. No little detail was left out, their guests were treated like absolute royalty, the sun peeked out just in time for some portraits, and at the end of the day they let go and danced like there was no tomorrow… what more can you ask for?!
Michael + Kyle — Cape Cod Museum of Art Rehearsal – xo, CoCo
Michael and his beautiful bride Kyle started their Cape Cod wedding out with a lavish and intimate rehearsal dinner at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. There was delicious lobster, teary toasts and a fabulous time had by all!
The bridal party had a quick practice session before heading over to dinner, looks good guys!
Baby Adira – Family Portrait Session on Cape Cod
Krista loves an excuse to take a drive down to the Cape during the summer. This adorable family certainly didn’t hurt the cause! Adira is simply scrumptious!
I mean, those EYES!
Seriously.
Not such a bad view. It was really the perfect summer day on the Cape.
I seriously can’t even!!
GORGEOUS!
Nom nom nom.
“Oh hi! Wanna play?”
Evita and Michael, thank you for sharing your little family with us! We hope to see more of Miss Adira as she grows and changes!
Gigi + Jason — Hyannis Private Estate Wedding – xo, CoCo
Oh, Gigi and Jason, where do I begin?! I had the BEST feeling about these two when we first met over beers in Porter Square. They seemed genuinely excited and perfectly in love. Gigi giggled and smiled the whole time, more of that below :) While Jason and I nerded out on beer. Fun fact, Jason and I later ran into each other over the Summer, way the heck out in Vermont at Hill Farmstead, while he was on his bachelor weekend, great minds…
Well all that positive energy continued through to their wedding which was sunny, beautiful, and filled with LOTS of love and laughter. No joke, as I walked around the property in the morning, the first thing I heard was Gigi giggling up in her suite. Just LOVE her. OK, so here we start at this beautiful private estate, with big thanks to Jason’s family for their kindness and hospitality.
These shoes reminded me of Sex and the City, am I right ladies? Hello, Lover.
Gigi’s mother lives in Egypt and I was told she doesn’t get to see her daughters together all that often. She was just incredibly sweet, kissing, hugging and singing all day.
Gigi must have slipped this into Jason’s garment bag, he got ready just down the hallway from her.
I was very lucky to be joined by Paul McNerney of Studio Foto for the day! He grabbed this of Jason, and the next two of their first look.
Love these shots from Paul, Gigi was so nervous and sweet.
Paul also ran upstairs to grab this during the ceremony, absolutely stunning! (Look closely, that’s the Kennedy compound in the distance).
Gigi you are killing me!
Love this from Paul.
This lookout felt like the hottest place on earth at the time, but totally worth it!
We grabbed the couple at sunset for a few more portraits, some of my favorites!
Paul‘s view, love.
Paul grabbed this as well.
Gigi and her sisters were killing it on the dance floor.
Gigi and Jason you two are so dear to my heart, thank you and your families for being incredibly welcoming and loving. Thank you for letting me photograph your love! Head over to Facebook for more!

Lori + Jim — Mack House at Cape Cod Wedding Details
Lori & Jim’s wedding details were beautiful, simple and classy, and practically perfect in every way! Take a look at some of my favorites!
They used a huge cork board made from wine bottle corks for the place cards – it was dreamy! They had to drink a LOT of wine to make it, but I’m sure it was worth the effort ;) Before they pinned all the cards on it, I had to play with it a bit!
Gift bags for the out of town guests
Custom robes for the ladies! Lori’s totally reminded me of Laverne & Shirley :)
Lori’s dress and her shoes were both AMAZING! Love love LOVE them!
Lori’s simply lovely bouquet
Jim’s cuff links are awesome! Not to mention those snazzy shoes!
Love Jim’s tie!

Lori + Jim — Mack House at Cape Cod Wedding in Film
I am primarily a digital photographer, but I started out shooting all black & white film weddings – and I miss it sometimes!! So, every once in a while I take my film cameras along to a wedding and have a little fun with film. This time I even used some, gasp, COLOR film! Haha, haven’t done that in YEARS! Totally worth it though :)

Lori + Jim — Mack House at Cape Cod Wedding
Are you ready for this?! Lori, in her Jenny Packham dress and Jim as dapper as can be, were married at the stunningly beautiful Mack House in Chatham on Cape Cod. It was an amazing day, and these two looked like they were straight out of a movie!
Lori & the girls got ready at the Mack House where the wedding was held – love that space! She had these cute pink robes for each bridesmaid with their initial on them – so fun!
Jim and the guys got ready over at the Chatham Bars Inn, and my fabulous Associate CoCo was there to capture it all
Haha, I love this!
So dashing!
Back at the house, it was time to get Lori into her breathtaking Jenny Packham dress! I mean that literally, I totally gasped when I saw it! Such a stunner!
Our third shooter for the day, and the talented calligrapher behind all of the stationary, Jessica Ulrich, caught bridesmaid Jillian reacting to Lori in her dress.
Lori, you’re so beautiful!!
Our very dapper groom! I mean, he looks like Dean Martin or something!
Time for the First Look!
Jim’s reaction is priceless! Great capture, CoCo!
So happy!

CoCo’s view
Such a lovely place for a wedding!
More laughter! Always a good thing!
Married!!
Post-ceremony bliss! My favorite moment of the day!!
Groomsmen, every wedding’s best comic relief
Lori & Jim were totally done with portraits, but I just HAD to sit them down for a moment in this beautiful light! And then they did this… and it’s my favorite photo of the day! So glad we took that extra 2 minutes to make it happen!
Cocktail Hour! It’s always so nice when we get the portraits done before the ceremony so they can enjoy, and I can actually shoot this part of the day!
Cheers!
It’s never too late to finish writing your Best Man Toast! He assures me he got it done with plenty of time to spare!
Our girl Amy came along with us for her very first wedding! She snagged this great shot from the deck! Pretty sweet first wedding to shoot, I must say!
Gorgeous! Oh, how I love the Cape!
Then it was reception time! I snagged this right before Lori & Jim walked into the tent – they look ready, don’t they?!
Love these that Jessica captured of the first dance!
Toasts!
Time to hit the dance floor! Greg from Beat Train Productions kept it awesome all night long, as usual!
Amazing
Keepin’ it classy
Had to go out on the dock and get a shot of the tent at night! I love me some blue skies at twilight!
Lori & Jim – THANK YOU! We absolutely loved being a part of your day, and wish you so much happiness!!
Big thanks to my super sized Krista Photography team for the day – CoCo, Amy & Jessica! You guys not only rocked, but made the day, and the whole weekend even more delightful! xoxo
Be sure to come back Monday to check out some of my film images from the wedding! We had to shoot a few at least! And head on over to Facebook to view more of my favorites from Lori & Jim’s wedding weekend!
Lori + Jim — Cape Cod Rehearsal Dinner
Oh, I’m so excited to share this weekend of wedding excitement with you! Let’s kick things off with Lori & Jim’s clam bake rehearsal dinner at Lori’s parents’ house!
Best thing about having the party at home was that Kayla could come!! She had an awesome time wondering around, getting her belly rubbed by pretty much everyone, splashing in the creek, and begging at tables :) She looks so innocent here though!
Our handsome groom-to-be
And our beautiful bride-to-be
Haha, I have SO been this bridesmaid!! It’s hard to put the camera down sometimes when things are just so dang beautiful!
Ew!!!! Oh, I mean, yum… yeah that’s it ;)
Big shout out to Stacie Shea Events for pulling everything together so beautifully and making it all run so smoothly!
There were a few spontaneous toasts that left everyone laughing, and left me kinda wishing I’d known Jim in college :)
So lovely!
One last portrait to end the evening! Gotta rest up, there’s a big wedding tomorrow!!
I love getting to be a part of the rehearsal dinner, and the whole weekend of celebrations. It’s such a great opportunity to meet all of your favorite people in the world and get everybody comfortable with being photographed by me. So on the wedding day, not only are you totally comfortable and confident, but so are all your family and closest friends! It’s so great!!!
Come back on Friday to see more for Lori & Jim’s FABULOUS wedding! But if you can’t bear to wait, head on over to Facebook to check out all of my favorites from the weekend!
Lori + Jim — Cape Cod Engagement Portraits
We shot Lori & Jim’s engagement session on the Cape, on a cold blustery Spring day. We met up at her parents’ house and took a walk down to the beach. Of course, they had to bring along their dog, Kayla! I think she may have had the best time out of all of us! It always amazes me that dogs will run in the ocean, even when it’s FREEZING! Crazy little puppy! Look at her go!
You’ve got to snuggle to stay warm sometimes!
Please Keep Off… whoops!
Love it!
Oh Kayla, your tiny little legs are so cute!
Lori’s rain boots are awesome, clearly
I loved this little wood on the walk back to the house!
After we warmed up in the house, we were ready for round two in the backyard – without coats even! How much do you love this back yard?!
FAVORITE!
Lori & Jim, thank you for making the trip up to the Cape for our shoot! It was fun hanging out with you guys and getting to know you a bit – cold or no! Hard to believe it was ever cold when your wedding day was so perfectly lovely… but more about that in the next few posts!
To view more of my favorites of Lori & Jim, check out the album on Facebook!
