Liz & Pete were married at the State Room in downtown Boston. What a day! Krista and I hung out with the girls most of the morning and they were a complete riot, all of them having so much fun, and obviously just loving the time they got to spend together. The whole day proved to be just like that, a love fest, seriously. Liz & Pete have the most adoring and loving group of family and friends. It was the most wonderful atmosphere to be a part of. And WAIT til you see the dance party!
Ok so here we go, Krista and I started with Liz and her girls in their suite at The Ames Hotel, just a couple blocks from the State Room, its SO beautiful, a super fun space to shoot in with great light and really cool furniture! Here’s Liz reading a lovely note from Pete.
Don’t you love those robes she gave the girls?!
Anne Ruthmann, who we LOVE, started with Pete and his groomsmen in their suite at the Ames as well.
I grabbed this of Liz in those *awesome* windows.
HAH!
LOVE Pete’s face!
Give it a spin girl!
I grabbed this of Liz trying to figure out her veil, it was sooo long and beautiful.
And this too, they just couldn’t stop staring! :)
Then we were all ready to head down to the first look and Liz says, “Krista do youuuu wanna hold my lipgloss????” How could we refuse this girl?
Anne got Pete ready for the first look! So dashing in his bowtie!
Love Pete’s face in this shot from Anne! I think he was blown away!
We ran into this stairwell around the corner, Krista went upstairs and Anne grabbed this. I swear every inch of the Ames is interesting to photograph.
Krista rode with the couple to the Public Gardens, I’m amazed there isn’t anyone in the background of this shot!
Krista brought along a roll or two of Black and White film too, aren’t these two classic? Shot with Krista’s Holga on Kodak Tri-x 400 ISO/120 mm film.
And THIS with her Widelux on Kodak Tri-x 400 ISO/35mm film.
Shoot girl!
Anne grabbed this of the bridal party after some family formals in the Gardens.
Then it was over to the enormous and stately Cathedral of the Holy Cross.
Another with the Widelux on Kodak Tri-x 400 ISO/35mm film.
Married!
Then it was on to The State Room!
Love this pairing from Anne.
Another from Anne
This is also from Anne, of Liz and her dad dancing, while Liz’s sister Lauren sang.
Then it was party time!
In case you can’t tell, the dance floor was PACKED.
Liz was my hero on the dance floor.
Love BOTH sets of parents getting down!
Ya gotta throw the Bride and Groom around a bit to end the night!
I conveniently forgot to mention that even though I was taken out of the game with food poisoning halfway through the day, and Krista lost a flash (it tumbled to the floor) in the midst of the craziest dance party ever, Krista and I were incredibly grateful to have Anne Ruthmann along for the ride as well as the wonderful Cristen Farrell, who rescued and replaced me earlier in the night.
Thank you thank you thank you thank you Liz & Pete, you two are unbelievably wonderful. Seriously.
See the rest of you on Friday for their classy pastel and grey details!
