Anna Kathryn + Joel — North End Engagement – xo, CoCo

Hey everyone! Wedding season is ramping up over here at Krista Photography, and now that I’m DONE with our better-late-then-never posts, I have a little more room to show you some of my work! This is Anna Kathryn (AK, as we call her) and Joel. Anna Kathryn does fabulous hair and Joel is a musician, they are both friends of Krista’s, and duh, they are insanely adorable. I shot their wedding in September 2011, oh my gosh, has it been TWO years, it feels like yesterday. Crazy! Anyways, about a month beforehand we got together on an otherwise dreary afternoon in downtown Boston. We started out near Berkelee College of Music where Joel went to school and romped around from there… Feast your eyes on these cuties!

We found a little street fair over in the North End, there was just the right amount of people there!

I loved the look of this little street, so we hung out for a second and then someone shot off firecrackers! It was awesome.

Lillie + Colin — Boston Public Gardens Engagement

Krista met up with Lillie and Colin at the Boston Public Gardens, on the “world’s smallest suspension bridge” where they got engaged, which you can read more about on Lillie’s blog! These two were super funny and it was such a pleasure spending the afternoon running around Boston with them. They even made it down to my favorite neighborhood in Boston, Bay Village, where the couple lives, which is also home to my favorite breakfast place of ALL TIME, Mike and Patty’s. Mmmmmmm….

Ok, enough about breakfast, onto the lovebirds!

You know we love a girl with curly hair!

These two work together from home a lot, so Krista went up to Lillie and Colin’s apartment for a second and captured them in their element, these are some of my favorite images from the day!

Liz + Pete — State Room Wedding

Liz & Pete were married at the State Room in downtown Boston. What a day! Krista and I hung out with the girls most of the morning and they were a complete riot, all of them having so much fun, and obviously just loving the time they got to spend together. The whole day proved to be just like that, a love fest, seriously. Liz & Pete have the most adoring and loving group of family and friends. It was the most wonderful atmosphere to be a part of. And WAIT til you see the dance party!

Ok so here we go, Krista and I started with Liz and her girls in their suite at The Ames Hotel, just a couple blocks from the State Room, its SO beautiful, a super fun space to shoot in with great light and really cool furniture! Here’s Liz reading a lovely note from Pete.

Anne Ruthmann, who we LOVE, started with Pete and his groomsmen in their suite at the Ames as well.

Then we were all ready to head down to the first look and Liz says, “Krista do youuuu wanna hold my lipgloss????” How could we refuse this girl?

We ran into this stairwell around the corner, Krista went upstairs and Anne grabbed this. I swear every inch of the Ames is interesting to photograph.

Krista rode with the couple to the Public Gardens, I’m amazed there isn’t anyone in the background of this shot!

I conveniently forgot to mention that even though I was taken out of the game with food poisoning halfway through the day, and Krista lost a flash (it tumbled to the floor) in the midst of the craziest dance party ever, Krista and I were incredibly grateful to have Anne Ruthmann along for the ride as well as the wonderful Cristen Farrell, who rescued and replaced me earlier in the night.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you Liz & Pete, you two are unbelievably wonderful. Seriously.

Liz + Pete — Downtown Boston Engagement Session

In my book Liz and Pete are probably the cutest couple in the whole world. I had only heard about them from Krista, and edited their engagement pictures and I was totally in love with them. Even from their pictures I could tell how natural they were with each other, and I could practically hear Liz’s laugh through the pictures! All of this was proven right when we shot their wedding, but that’s another post (on Wednesday to be exact, so don’t miss it)!

So here we go, Liz and Pete spent the early evening with Krista in downtown Boston, first here on the Massachusetts Ave bridge, on one of the COLDEST days in Boston, but don’t these two look warm and happy?

They meandered a bit down to Commonwealth Ave and stopped in a random doorway, there are so many good ones, how can you resist?! (PS- there is definitely a doorman behind them… poor dude haha)
