The best thing about Erin & Doug’s wedding was, well, Erin & Doug! But the details they pulled together are pretty great too! Check out all the beautiful touches that made this day as beautiful & elegant as they imagined! Starting with these killer accessories!
Erin + Doug — Wedding at Boston’s Wang Theater
Oh, man! I don’t even know where to start with these guys! I met Erin & Doug last year when I photographed her brother, Kevin’s wedding – so I was absolutely thrilled when they chose me to photograph their wedding! It’s always such an honor to work with the same family again and again and to keep getting to know them as their family grows over time. Plus, I was doubly excited to be shooting a wedding at the Wang Theater – which is an insanely gorgeous venue. The whole day was beautiful – filled with love, and so so fun! Here are a handful of my favorites from the day!!!
K+L — Fabulous State Room Wedding Details
Oh man oh man have I been looking forward to this post!! Our fabulous couple was married at the State Room in downtown Boston. We had a gorgeous Fall day in Boston with these two and their lovely families, and wanted to share the absolutely stunning details with you. Just a warning, you are going to be BLINDED by diamonds in a couple seconds…
Um. YEA.
Krista had a lot of fun with these gorgeous Manolo’s!
The wonderful Lara Woolfson helped us out that day as well, she started with the boys at the Ames Hotel. We LOVE that place!
We had some gorgeous light in the Public Gardens in the afternoon!
The dresses were all matching silhouettes, with some beautifully simple white flowers.
Can’t get enough of those earrings!
Beautiful view from the State Room just before the ceremony.
The ceremony scene was so romantic!
Sushi, truffle fries, and mac and cheese!?
I mean this place was dripping in flowers!
OK, now onto the tables, which all varied in size, shape, and decoration. It was the most interesting and beautiful room!
The table arrangement was so fun!
And you know, Krista just HAD to shoot some more of those rings!
Hope you guys didn’t get blinded by all the sparkle! We have these lovely people to thank for this gorgeous event! There is more on facebook as well, thanks and see you Friday!

Laurie + Hakan — The Taj Wedding
Laurie and Hakan were married at The Taj in Boston. It was chilly and the leaves were just barely changing color in the city. Their day was magical, the couple celebrated with their families from all over the world, and somehow they found THE one orange tree in the Public Gardens to shoot near :)
Let’s start out with Laurie, getting ready in her hotel suite.
The lovely Cristen Farrell was assisting Krista that day, and grabbed this, love the attention to detail. :)
Anne Ruthmann started with Hakan and his boys.
Off to the first look!
Love this!
Shot with Krista’s Widelux on Kodak Tri-x 35mm film.
Cristen caught these little ladies goofing off, so cute!
Cristen shot from the balcony for this one. The ballroom was stunning!
Anne grabbed this of the happy couple!
I LOVE Laurie’s Mom’s face when she saw the room for the first time! Along with the photographers, she was stunned!
Here’s one of Cristen’s shots of the room, more of this on the next post (promise!), oh it was GORGEOUS!
Cristen grabbed this during their first dance, it was choreographed and everything!
Drinking out of BEAKERS? Is that allowed? :) The Maid of Honor’s toast was AWESOME!! Perfect for these two chemists, she even related their love to covalent bonds and all sorts of things we barely understood, and ended with a champagne toast from beakers… perfect!
Get down with your bad self, Hakan!
LOVE this from Cristen!
What a super fun day this was! Laurie and Hakan, you and your families were absolutely wonderful to work and party with! :) Thank you so much for inviting us in to document your love! Now don’t forget to come back Monday for their crazy beautiful details! And check out facebook for more :) See you Monday!
N + J – State Room Wedding Reception
Let’s start with this lovely lady. Seriously, bride, dress, ring, all AMAZING.
I seriously cannot get enough of that beading work…
This little guy was kind of the star of the show :)
We brought along a ring light to experiment! Doesn’t this girl look great?!
The flowers and tables were understated and gorgeous.
I grabbed this as the couple was introduced.
They were so happy to celebrate with all their Boston friends!
Their wedding video was beautiful!
And then there was the dancing… so fun!
I think someone may have had a little too much fun… :)
Thank you everyone for checking these two out! And to the couple, thank you both so much! It was such a pleasure working and laughing with you and your lovely families!
Pop over to their facebook album, and come back Wednesday for another post now ya hear?

Linan + Steven — Hyatt Harborside Wedding
Linan & Steven got married at the Hyatt Harborside in Boston on a lovely but windy day – isn’t it always windy down there? So many friends and family came in from all over the world for this wedding, and everyone was clearly thrilled to be there! Even though most of the day everyone was speaking Mandarin, Krista and her Shooting Assistant Peter Morse had a really great time! Sometimes a camera is the only language you need! Shout out to Emilie from Pink Orchid Weddings for helping to translate throughout the day, you were a huge help!
As you saw in their engagement, this girl knows how to choose shoes, her wedding shoes were no exception! The wonderful Peter Morse hung out with Krista for the day and grabbed this.
Linan looked absolutely flawless.
Steven, the most cheerful groom ever, also from Peter.
It sure was windy ya’ll!
Practicing the first dance! Always a good idea :)
Krista had a little competition for the day, haha!
Super sweet flower girl!
Another from Peter.
Absolutely LOVE that necklace.
Peter grabbed this detail of the stunning tables. I just love how clean and simple they are!
The RED is so striking.
They did a really beautifully choreographed dance, here’s Krista’s view:
And Peter’s:
Someone was a wee bit curious about the cake!
The Linan and Steven and their parents a had a little company on the dance floor!
Some guests really wanted a picture with Peter!! Haha you were a hit buddy :)
And the cap it off, Krista set up her tripod at the end of the night for this awesome long exposure of the city.
Thank you both Linan and Steven for being so wonderful and letting Krista document this wonderful day for you. And thank you to these wonderful people for making it all happen flawlessly! Check out facebook for more and we’ll see ya Monday for the next contestant!
