On this the last day of Women’s History Month – we want to celebrate the women of the FUTURE as well as the past!
The G Family
Krista spent some time with this lovely family while all of the “kids” were in town over the summer. Patty and Dan are one of the nicest couples you’ll ever meet, and they’ve raised some pretty amazing children!
These two sisters could not stop laughing! Such a sweet relationship!
After their family session, Krista was able to spend some time with Melissa creating senior portraits. And once again, there was so much laughter!
Thank you, Gernert family! Krista so enjoyed her afternoon with you!
Spring (2015) Mini Sessions
I know that I’m slightly biased given that most of these families are friends of mine, but Spring mini-sessions were especially wonderful this year! :) It was a perfect May day and so much fun!
Hard to believe that this little guy wanted NOTHING to do with pictures!
This adorable crew is a bunch of Krista Photography regulars! They are the most cooperative and sweet group of little ones!
So many expressions!
Oh Christopher! Always a favorite! None of us can get enough of that toothy grin, but put him in a seersucker vest and pants and we melt!
His cousin is pretty fabulous, too! Loved watching Bobby with his four-legged “brother.” :)
Love!
Our very own Jen and her sweet family!
Silly Emma!
My boy refused to participate unless we brought his best friend along, and so Curious George came with us. :)
There is ALWAYS a series like this of my children! :)
This brand new family was such a joy. Baby Ruth is precious!
Twirling in the sun!
We had so much fun with everyone! Thank you all for sharing your family’s with us!
The E Family – Extended Family Portraits
Krista’s MOST favorite couples are the ones who call her again and again to photograph their families as they grow far beyond their wedding day. And the past few months have been full of these very calls!
Krista was especially excited to reunite with the E family – she shot Shoshana & Andy’s wedding back in 2009, and then Rahel & Yitzi’s wedding in 2010. Both brides have growing families and gathered at their parents’ home, along with their other sister, Yonina, for an extended family portrait session in April. Prepare to fall in love with this family!
Such beautiful sisters!
All of the ladies.
So much love!!!
I think this little one was worn out!
Thank you, Eisenberg family! It is such an honor to be asked back to photograph your family as it grows!
The H Family — Portrait Session in Houston, Texas
If you have followed Krista Photography for while, this family is sure to look familiar! The short version of the story: Krista shot Rhetta and Bill’s wedding in Chicago back in 2004. Upon moving to Boston, Krista began working for Matt & Enna Grazier and on her very first day she was perusing their portfolio and stumbled upon a gorgeous pregnant woman – who also happened to be Rhetta! As baby Hannah grew and changed, Rhetta sought Krista out to take family portraits. The family has since moved from Boston to Texas, but she called again, and again when they were back in town visiting. :) And so it made perfect sense for Krista to swing by while on a trip west this spring, to capture this beautiful family once more!
Such sweet sisters!
Apparently the squirrels had NO fear of people!
Jumping to stay warm on a chilly day!
I love how Krista always catches Rhetta and Bill loving on one another during their sessions.
So many expressions!!!
Evidently the pigeons are also fearless!
See what I mean about the love?! Adorable.
Before saying good-bye, Hannah and Sophie requested a picture with Krista. :)
Oh Rhetta and Bill, it is always a pleasure! Each of us at Krista Photography look forward to seeing how your family changes from year to year! Thank you for continuing to invite Krista back!
Sarah & Allie
Sarah & Allie laughing it up in the warm glow of the sunset. The sunlight was warm, but the air outside was COLD – they were such good sports!!
Eventually, we had to put jackets back on to keep them from freezing. Here’s a couple shots against the back of my house.
Sarah joked about climbing the tree in my back yard, and I wasn’t about to let her get away without actually doing it! Allie got up there too, and the shots ended up being some of my favorites from the day! (don’t you just love that barn next door in the background?!)
Finally, their noses were getting all red and my fingers were getting numb, so we headed inside. I don’t have a studio in my apartment, but I do have some awesome wallpaper in the hallway – so that’s where we shot :)
And for the last shots of the day, we headed to the kitchen. See, Allie & Sarah are AMAZING cooks – or bakers, rather. So, my original idea was to get them cooking in their kitchen. Since it was a surprise for Dad, and he was at the house, we made do with looking at cookbooks in my kitchen instead. My kitchen is small, but right at sunset, it has the most beautiful light!
All in all, it was a really fun shoot! Thanks Sarah & Allie for being such good sports and for making my job so easy :) I hope your Dad loved his Christmas present!!
