Danielle + Jesse — Boston Public Garden Engagement – xo, CoCo

These two sweethearts met up with me on a quintessential Fall afternoon in the city, the light was golden and it was just warm enough to get by with a sweater and a snuggle. This sweet pair had actually never even been to the Public Gardens before, so it was really fun to wander around with them in this gorgeous space in the last light of day. I just can’t get enough of their sweet expressions, and joyful faces. And did I mention that light?!

Kaitlin + Brent — Wentworth by the Sea Wedding Details – xo, CoCo

Wentworth by the Sea Wedding

Kaitlin and Brent’s elegant affair at Wentworth by the Sea was wonderfully suited to their fun and easy-going spirit. With touches of southern charm, and New England scenery, it was relaxed, beautiful, fun, and so perfectly them. Let’s start with Kaitlin’s stunning and classic dress. The lace sleeves and neckline were stunning on her, and I love her shoes for their pop of color.

Kerri Green my second shooter for the day shot the next two as the boys got ready.

The color palette of the flowers was perfect for their late summer wedding.

Ben Keys from Wed on Canvas started his work earlier in the day, painting the scene of New Castle Congregational Church. Just wait til you see the final product!

I love the old-style pews at the church.

Kerri also grabbed this as the ceremony started.

Kaitlin + Brent — Wentworth by the Sea Wedding – xo, CoCo

Oh, Kaitlin and Brent, I just can’t get enough of these two! They were married in New Hampshire on a gorgeous warm day near the end of Summer, aaaahhhhh doesn’t that sound nice. I could tell it was their mission from the very beginning to have fun at their wedding, and their day was so relaxed there was no choice but to have fun! These two are some of the most genuine, hilarious, fun-loving people I’ve ever met, I enjoyed every moment of their day.

I started with Kaitlin in her hotel room at Wentworth by the Sea as she got ready, love her little dance here, gotta try out the dress ya know?!

Meanwhile, the lovely Kerri Green started with the boys.

They all took shots out of their cufflinks boxes! Hahaha gotta do what you gotta do!

We shot some portraits on the lawn at Wentworth, how about that light huh?!

Isn’t that dress just stunning?

The ceremony was held just down the road in a beautifully classic New England church.

Woohoo!

A quick trolley ride back over to the Wentworth for some sunset portraits.

We had just enough time to catch this gorgeous light.

My assistant Catherine tagged along and grabbed this, so cute!

Kerri captured this little lady, writing the couple a love-note.

I daresay their parents look a bit proud…

Elena + Olivier — Winchester Backyard Wedding Details – xo, CoCo

Yay it’s time for Elena and Olivier’s beautiful and romantic details from their chic backyard wedding! These two were married at Olivier’s parents’ house, where much preparation was put into having the ceremony outside, but mother nature had other plans… Nevertheless these two had a fabulous day, and I don’t think they would have had it any other way!

Meanwhile I started with Elena as she got ready downtown, LOVE her Sara Gabriel birdcage veil.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything like Elena’s dress, and wait til you see it on, it fit her like a glove!

Elena + Olivier — Winchester Backyard Wedding – xo, CoCo

These two rocked their rainy day wedding like no other. I tell ya, I must have been *really* good luck in September because for a couple weeks there it felt like it only rained on Saturday! Despite the derailment of some very well-intentioned plans, these two had an absolute ball at their wedding. And though it didn’t go exactly to plan, the result was perfectly unique and beautiful, just like them!

I started out with Elena earlier in the afternoon, as she got her makeup done. I mean, the hair, the lips, I can’t get enough.

Back in her hotel room, Elena’s grandmother buttoned her up, I could not get enough of that gorgeous lace dress!

My wonderful friend Allana started with Olivier as he got ready back at his parents’ house.

Elena waited in the wings as everyone lined up in the tent for the ceremony.

Her and her father were walked to the tent with an army of umbrellas!

Everyone gathered around the dance floor.

It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony, and they were literally surrounded by their guests!

We did family formals inside, saving the best for last!

We then got to steal away for a few moments, and took some portraits on the front porch.

That dress!

Elena’s grandmother gave her the necklace on the left, a family heirloom.

Allana set up this stunning portrait with the raindrops in the background, it was really coming down!

Having the tent in the backyard of Olivier’s parents’ house made for such a lovely and intimate setting, like a fabulous house party.

The tent was beatuful and warm.

And these two were having so much fun…

Elena and her dad started out their father daughter dance nice and slow and then exploded into this! It was AWESOME!

And the party just kept going from there, with plenty of appearances by Olivier on the mic.

Just. so. FUN! I’m so happy that despite the craziness of the day, these two let loose, embraced the rain, danced like crazy, and enjoyed every single minute of it. Thank you Elena and Olivier for such a great day! Stay tuned for their details post y’all and see more on Facebook!

Sharon + Marty — North Reading Backyard Wedding – xo, CoCo

I thought I loved these two after their engagement session, little did I know how amazing they actually were. You see while their wedding day was beautiful, intimate, and fabulously fun, it also rained BUCKETS, for HOURS. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it! And these two were cool as a cucumber, more-so they enjoyed every minute of it! Just wait till you see how the humidity melted their cake… haha! I don’t think any of us would have asked for anything different, see for yourself!

My second shooter Cristen Farrell and I started with Sharon as she got ready with her beautiful daughters. Cristen grabbed this while I shot details.

I loved Sharon’s Maggie Sottero dress! It was perfect for her!

The ceremony was held at their local church just down the road, Cristen grabbed this from above.

Their bridal party was entirely made up of their beautiful children.

These two just couldn’t keep their hands off each other!

We drove to nearby Ipswich River Park for portraits, how cute are these girls?!

Love those ombre dresses, and gorgeous grey and purple flowers!

I mean…

We could tell the sky was about to open up, but we had just enough time for some romantic portraits!

Cristen grabbed this.

Cristen shot this of me hiding out in the grass, gotta do what you gotta do!

Back at the house it was time to party!

And then this happened…

Haha! Good times…

They cut the cake, and then it promptly smashed to the ground!

But nothing could keep this party down!

Yup, still raining.

Cristen found some cover for this shot, despite the downpour it really was a beautiful night!

These two danced the night away, not phased a bit.

Sharon + Marty — Good Harbor Beach Engagement – xo, CoCo

Oh, these two! Sharon came to me from a mutual friend, which is always exciting, we love our friends’ friends! I was so excited talking to her over the phone, she’s a graphic designer by trade, and a true firecracker. I had so much fun with her and her Marty on a lovely warm Summer evening at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. Enjoy!

Ryan + Kirk — Essex Conference Center and Retreat Wedding Details – xo, CoCo

Let’s just take a look at how beautiful this spot is. The Essex Conference Center and Retreat is a fabulous North Shore hidden gem, filled with fabulous scenery, outdoor sculptures, lily ponds, oh my! Not to mention all of the hard work Kirk and Ryan and their friends put into their amazingly colorful diy details, feast your eyes!

I can’t even handle this beautiful arbor covered in paper flowers.

They transformed the tent into a colorful oasis, filled with gummy bears, wild flowers and neon.

I brought along my Canonet QL17 35mm rangefinder and shot some snapshots on Fuji 400H color film.

And you know Vince, my second shooter, and I had to test out the light a bit… Aren’t we pretty?

Ok back to the good stuff! When we arrived, the boys were working on individual messages to each and every guest, including me and Vince., how sweet?! Also shot on Fuji 400H color 35mm film.

Ryan + Kirk — Essex Conference Center and Retreat Wedding – xo, CoCo

Here we go folks, behold, the most adorable couple you have ever seen. Ryan, right, and Kirk, left, are two of the happiest most enjoyable people to be around I have ever known. True to form their wedding was insanely colorful, emotional, beautiful in more ways than I can count, and altogether amazing. I don’t know if I’ve ever cried so much in my life, except at my own sister’s wedding! But more on that later, let’s start out with the boys as they got ready, surrounded by their bridal party, consisting of their family members and best friends in the world.

As always, there was a bit of bow tie drama, but these guys know what they are doing.

We took a little tour of the grounds at the Essex Conference Center and Retreat, it was SUCH a gorgeous day, and this place is an amazing hidden gem, I LOVED shooting there.

The fabulous Vince Schaefer was my second shooter for the day, he grabbed this shot, so pretty!

Vince also set the boys up over here by the firepit, killing me.

Everyone needed a little liquid courage before the ceremony.

And away we go! To ABBA no less…

Commence the best wedding ceremony ever, first Kirk sang Ryan a song.

Then there were dramatic readings of their first emails to each other.

Then a sweet surprise poem.

Then the most beautiful vows ever.

And LOTS more crying.

Sarah + Mike — Lyman Estate Wedding Details – xo, CoCo

Take a look at Sarah and Mike’s beautifully intimate and personal details! So much of their personality shined through during their wedding day at the Lyman Estate, right down to the programs, how cute are those?! I loved every moment of their wedding, I hope you enjoy a few more of my favorite moments and details! Let’s start with the most important part, the shoes.

I can’t speak to how comfortable these were… pain is beauty, and aren’t they such a great color?!

Sarah’s beautiful one-shoulder dress is from The Bridal Garden in Manhattan, a not-for-profit bridal boutique that donates their proceeds to help educate disadvantaged children, now that’s a business model we can get behind!

The rooms at the Lyman have some fab wall paper and woodwork, I could shoot there every day! Allana, my second shooter for the day, grabbed this as mike got ready.

The greenhouse was in full bloom, this space was a dream to shoot in.

Sarah made her own jewelry and flowers, isn’t she crafty?!

And check out this adorable outdoor dance floor that the ladies at Chive set up, it was so fun to party under the stars on a warm Summer evening.
